The Chula Vista Fire Stations #5 and #9 projects involved the construction of the two fire stations including on-site utilities, paving, fire protection, mechanical, electrical, and incidental-related work.

CTE was awarded geotechnical, testing, and inspection work, performing all materials testing and inspection to meet the criteria of the Green Book. The buildings were also built-in conformance with the California Building Code and all local codes and ordinances. Services also included: reinforced concrete inspection, ACI concrete technician, rebar inspection, reinforced masonry inspection, post-installed drilled anchor inspection, nailing inspection, registered special inspector (field welding and high strength bolting), base plate grout compression testing, base plate grout inspection, concrete compression tests, masonry composite prism tests, mortar compression tests, grout compression tests, soil technician, asphalt paving inspection, asphalt coring, footing inspection, lab maximum density test, expansion index, "R" value testing, sieve analysis, asphalt HVEEM test, and asphalt core density.
